BASIC FUNCTION: 
Based in Rye Brook, NY, the Bookkeeper will report to Finance and Accounting Supervisor  and will handle the following responsibilities: Create financial transactions and create financial reports from that information. The creation of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers and supplier invoices. The bookkeeper also reconciles multiple bank accounts to ensure their accuracy.  Position will also entail supporting the logistics division with all procurement transactions.
 
JOB REQUIREMENT
Certification in Quick Books Intuit is a must - Enterprise Solution, PRO, Contractor.

DAY-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
  • Invoice Customers
  • Match Vendor purchase orders with invoices
  • Balance and maintain accurate ledger
  • Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balance
  • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
  • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
  • Conduct Monthly bank accounts  reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
  • Maintain the petty cash fund
  • Provide information to the external CPAs who creates the company’s financial statements for audit
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
  • Assist in the Processing of payroll in a timely manner
  • Experience in services related to payroll such as submitting and reconciling with payroll Company(Paychex)
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
 
  • Knowledge and full Proficiency of Intuit Quickbooks program is a MUST ; Proficiency in MS Office applications
 
  • Excellent English Language Skills, spoken & written.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    The bookkeeper candidate should have an Associate's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as a knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles. . Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of the accounting software package. Five years experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
