Framaco International is currently searching for a qualified Construction Project Engineer with significant experience on overseas construction projects. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Engineer provides technical support to construction staff. Reviews plans and other technical documents, answers questions regarding the scope and/or timing of the project, and monitors costs and project according to contract requirements, completing administrative documentation on time, and cultivating customer satisfaction with the client, all in alignment with Framaco’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

The position will support Framaco project site office and will act as the lead coordinator with home office project support actions. The individual selected will be required to travel overseas for extended periods of time. Experience with construction projects supporting U.S. Government Agencies including US Army Corps of Engineers and/or Overseas Building Operations (OBO).

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Preparing complete, accurate and timely submittal logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.
  • Accountable for receiving approved submittals from client and notifying the Project Superintendents of potential schedule impact.
  • Supervise and coordinate the development of project baseline schedule with project stakeholders.
  • Manage project material and equipment procurement, shipping, and logistics, and coordinate all procurement action with project schedule and head office procurement team.
  • Assist Project Manager in managing scope and recording all scope changes. by Responsible for timely completion of all required project close-out documents per contract.
  • Distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions. Include any accepted alternates or addendum's with documents.
  • Schedule all required construction meetings with required personnel, subcontractors, architects and owners.
  • Attend Owner/Architect pre-bid, project and closeout meetings and take accurate and complete meeting minutes and distribute timely.
  • Manage RFI process with Architects/Engineers, and disseminate information to the subcontractors, and project team.
  • Prepare correspondence with Client, Architect, Engineers, Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc. Examples of referenced correspondence include, but not confined to the following items: Schedule of Values, project schedule, memos, requests for information, transmittals and submittals.
  • Responsible for the project document control and accurate filing and retrieval of all project and correspondence documents.
  • Inform management of productivity, costs, quality control, document management and processing of applications for payment.  Notify management of any issues that arise which affect quality, budget, progress and safety.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • A BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or Finance related field is the minimum formal education required for this position.
  • 5 years of professional employment as an engineer or architect managing comparable work and a bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering.

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
  • Specific software literacy (SharePoint, RMS/QCS) preferred.
